February 16, 2018: Dun-Good Riders

DUN-GOOD RIDERS Snowmobile & ATV/UTV Trails in the Dunbar & Goodman areas of Northwestern Marinette County.

2/16/17—Trails are icy! Use Caution!! 95% of the trails are in great to excellent conditions. We had 2 days of warmer weather so there are a few bare spots and water spots. Roads are bare. BUT trails are in great shape! Temps have dropped quickly tonight and it’s not going to warm up tomorrow. Expect icy trail conditions. Use caution! We are grooming our whole trail system on our regular weekly winter schedule. Be advised there is a logging project along the trail to Athelstane and there are several areas that the loggers have plowed down to dirt. The “pipeline trail” (along Parkway Road) going south has taken a big hit from the sun and warm temps. These are 2 problem areas right now that riders may want to avoid.

Watch for the groomers out working! There is a new logging job in the Shrine Road and Hobuchee Road area. Also logging on the trail between Dunbar & Athelstane. Coleman Engineering will be working alongside the “pipeline trail” that runs next to Parkway Road. They’ll be working between Goodman & Brandywine Road. Slow down! Winter ATV/UTV use is allowed on the Dun-Good Riders trail system
